Who can use FamSpots

You must be at least 18 and the parent or legal guardian of any child whose profile you create. By creating an account you confirm that. Kids do not get their own accounts.

What FamSpots does

FamSpots suggests nearby kid-friendly places using Google's Places API and writes short, factor-grounded rationales. Suggestions are informational only — you are responsible for verifying that any place is safe, open, and appropriate for your family before going.

Your account

Keep your password private. You're responsible for activity under your account. We may rate-limit or suspend accounts that abuse the service or exceed reasonable usage caps.

Acceptable use

• Don't try to reverse engineer, scrape, or attack the service.
• Don't use FamSpots to harass, stalk, or harm anyone.
• Don't upload other people's personal information.

Allergies and dietary needs

FamSpots may match places to dietary needs you enter (for example "no peanuts"). These matches are informational hints only and can be wrong, outdated, or incomplete. Menus, ingredients, and kitchen practices change without notice. Always confirm allergy and dietary requirements directly with the restaurant or venue before ordering or visiting. Never rely on FamSpots as the sole source of allergy-safety information. If your child has a severe allergy, speak with staff in person and follow your medical provider's guidance.

No warranty

FamSpots is provided "as is". We don't guarantee places will match the description, be open, or be suitable for any particular child. Use your judgment.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FamSpots and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to FamSpots is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $50. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of FamSpots will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Missouri, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Closing your account

You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings at any time. We can close accounts that violate these terms.

Changes

If we materially change these terms, we'll surface a notice in the app before the change takes effect.
